The wind regime off Nova Scotia’s Coast is attracting significant attraction regarding its potential for offshore wind development.
Another attribute of the Strait of Canso Region is the sheltered waters of the Port. On the September 16 & 17 2023 weekend, the heavy lift vessel GPO Sapphire sheltered at anchorage within the confines of Chedabucto Bay.
Wet storage will be an important component for offshore wind development. Its nice to see some global recognition of the sheltered waters in the Strait of Canso Region and the role it can play going forward
