From our links with the Nova Scotia Community College’s Nautical Institute in Port Hawkesbury to ongoing relationships with government and business groups, we’re part of the fabric of the place. This dedication to local engagement is built in to our Board’s makeup: all are volunteer members with deep ties to the marine industry and the economic and cultural future of our surrounding communities. And our ongoing support for the annual Superport Days conference builds stronger connections with industry and government leaders.
The Strait Superport is also a non-profit organization. That means we re-invest in our infrastructure and services to ensure the local marine industry and nearby communities directly benefit from our growth and success. It also means that future revenues — from customers or the potential collection of harbour fees — are reinvested right here in the Strait area.
The Strait Superport strives to maintain positive relationships and a strong connection with its neighbours and stakeholders through open dialogue, transparency, public participation and two-way communication.
