17 Apr Canso Canal Re-opens to Vessels

The Canso Canal has re-opened to marine traffic for the 2020 shipping season. the canal typically closes every December 24th, in anticipation of ice buildup in the Northumberland Strait, and re-opens in April. This year the Canso Canal re-opened on Tuesday, April 14th.
